Becoming a Mason

People have their own reasons why they enjoy Freemasonry. These reasons vary widely and include:-

Achievementthrough progressing through the various offices in the Lodge to become Worshipful Master.

Brotherhood – by making new friends and acquaintances from all walks of life, every background and age group.

Charity – through being able to contribute to deserving causes, both Masonic and non-Masonic.

Education – by learning from peers and mentors by practising ritual and making short speeches.

Knowledge – through finding out about the history and mysteries of Freemasonry.

Self Improvement – by making a contribution to your family and society.

After reading through the information contained within this site, if you are still interested in becoming a Freemason, we advise that you first talk to a family member, friend or colleague whom you already know to be a Mason. They will be able to further explain to you about freemasonry and help you take the first steps to finding a suitable Lodge.

If you don’t know anyone at all who is a member, then you should contact us and we will happily assist you.
